Grammarly – a free writing tool that offers grammar checker, spell checker, proofreading, and plagiarism tracking.
ProWritingAid – a writing software used by bloggers, writers, academics, and business professionals aimed at improving readability, sentence structure, and correct grammar. It prevents plagiarism, and it’s free to use. However, the premium version ($40) has more functionality, including online editing.
Hemingway Editor – a paid app ($9.99) that proofreads one’s manuscript and suggests improvements for better writing.
Scrivener – a powerful writing tool; a favorite of authors, screenwriters, songwriters, and other writers. Scrivener offers advanced functionality, including a series of tools that allow writers to structure their manuscript, save research, format, and upload for publishing.
